BOWLING.

The bowling team that recently toured \'ew South Wales, held a very successful reunion. in the Auckland Club's pavilion last week, a number of presentations were made, and the bowlers appeared a very happy family all through the tour. It was decided that a credit balance of £20 odd should bo set aside to entertain the New South Welshmen when thev came to Auckland next season. The members of the team have been invited to be the guests of the Mt. Eden Olub on the 14th instant, and of unelmnga a week later. In compliance with a requisition, a special meeting of the members of the Devonport Bowling Club was held on Tuesday last to discuss the manner in which the " draw " on Saturday afternoons is conducted. There was considerable discussion as to the merits and demerits of the various svstems in vogue in other clubs, and it was eventually resolved that the manner in which the com- ; mittee cany it, out at present could not ■ very well be improved upon. !
