WAGES OF FELLMONCERS.
AN INCIPIENT STRIKE.

Wellington, Thursday. There was brief trouble resembling a strike at the Gear Meat Company's works at l'etone a few days ago. The men employed in the fellmongery department, who are getting Is ljd an hour, demanded an increase of 3d an hour. They were offered an increase of l£d and were given till three o'clock in the afternoon to decide. The men accepted this offer and resumed work.
