A CHRISTCHURCH MOVEMENT. [BY TIJLKGHAI'H. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Ohristchubcu, Wednesday, A mil-; police corps was formed in the city last, night with a strong committee. The Mayor, who presided, said the meeting had been called at the request of the Fire Board. The big lire of the previous month demonstrated the need of a body of tire police. Many premises were broken into and looted in times of tiro by unauthorised persons, and it was most desirable th.it salvago work should be done by people who were, authorised.
