The hearing was resumed at Bowstreet of the charge of perjury against Mrs. (otherwise "Miss") Robinson in her evidence in the Druce trial. Sir Charles Matthews, for the prosecution, read the prisoner's voluntary confession, gravely reflecting upon certain persons and detailing how she was tempted to gtve' evidence by a promise 0f.£4000 if she would do as she was told.
