CLAIMS FOE COMPENSATION.
[BY TELEGRAPH. ASSOCIATION.] Dcxedin, Thursday. Two claims fur compensation for accidents preferred against the New Zealand Coal and Oil Company, and. set down for hearing before the Arbitration Court to-day, have been settled privately. Jas. NelsoH, whe was injured iu the Kaitangata mute on May 20, losing two fingers, accepted £30 by way of compensation, while Wm. Garven, whose eye was injured on June 13, has taken £10 as full settlement of his claims.
