Tho tonnage of vessels entered at Port Jackson last year was 7,192,000, an increase of 703,900 tons. The vessel* carried 100,286 passengers, an increase of 17,690. MINING AT BROKEN HILL. Sydney, January 15. A lode has been cut. at the 1400 ft level in the Broken Hill Proprietary Mine, a greater depth than any ore-carrying lod» previously struck along the line of the reefs.
