TEAM FOR AUSTRALASIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS. [BY TELEGRAPH FRKSS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Thursday. The Wellington centre of the New Zealand Athletic. Association had a request from the council before it to-day to contribute towards the cost of senilis a team to the Australasian championShip meeting, which takes place at Hobart in February. ' The meeting objected to being called' upon while the council itself was in Voaseesion of- funds, and considered it the. duty of the central'body to send a team on its own account. It was also-decided to write to other centres .asking them to .support this attitude.
