IRON INDUSTRY.
THE LITHGOW WORKS. SATISFACTORY ARRANGEMENT MADE. By Telegrath.— Association.— « Sydney, December 19. The Premier announced last night that the Lithgow ironworks would be in full working order early in the New Year. The firm of Messrs. C. and J. Hoskins would, he said, take Mr. Sandford's plate, aud would be possessed of sufficient capital and enterprise to make the industry an assured success. A provision of a very liberal character was being made for Mr. Sandford, who thoroughly appreciated the arrangement. Mr. Wade will give the details to-day. (Received December 19, 11.50 p.m.) Sydney, December 19. Messrs. Hoskins, in addition to taking Mr. Sandford's place at the bank, pay Mr. Sandford £10,000 in cash and give him promissory notes for £40,000, negotiable immediately, and also pay off creditors to the extent of £26,000.
