REQUEST FROM VICTORIA.

Wellington, Thursday. The Wellington Harbour Board lias acceded to a request of the Victorian Government that Mr. W. Ferguson, the Board's engineer, should be allowed to go over to Melbourne and report to the Victorian Government on a scheme for the improvement of the port of Melbourne.
