The Auckland Choral Society has decided not to give a free Sunday performance of the "Messiah" this year. The attendance of performing members at the last Sunday performance was so small that the committee came to the conclusion that if the oratorio could not be done creditably it ought not to be .done at all, • "■■:';. ; ;
