Since 1905, Dean Ridgeway, who is a Prebendary of St. Paul's Cathedral, has been Dean of Carlisle. He was educated' at St. Paul's School and Trinity College, Cambridge, and was for some years an inspector of schools. Ho was Select Preacher at Cambridge in 1890, and was vicar of Christ Church, Lancaster Gate, from 188+ to 1905, and incumbent of St. Paul's, Edinburgh, in 1880. He is the author of a number of devotional works, the best known being "What Think Yo of Christ?" "The Mountains of Blessedness," and "What Docs the Church of England Say?"
