In the Local Option Court, the ' President announced that a writ of'prohibition, re- •*, * straining further proceedings in connection with the classification of licensed premises ,_ had been granted. The points at issue Were - " those recently raised. The situation at present is that the Court cannot take further action until the first day •of next - term, unless upon application to -the Full . Court. The Crown can meantime obtain a : stay of proceedings. 4 It is understood, however, that the- Government intends to introduce a declaratory measure before the session closes, making clear the intention of the Legislature with regard to the f provisions of the Local Option Act. -
