The three-masted scow Korora arrived from Herekino on Saturday with a cargo of 165.000 ft of sawn timber. The vessel has made a very smart round trip of 13 davs. The ..-cow Welcome arrived from Whungarei on Saturday with a cargo of timber. At. Mercury Bay the scow Rambler is loading timber for Gisborne. Transhipments per lonic frofti London and Wimmera from Melbourne and Hobart arrived from the South yesterday by the /.ealandia. The Tvser liner Indradevi is due at- Auckland to-day from London and Australia. To-night the Northern Company's steamer Ngapuhi ifaves for Whangarei. The Union Company's steamer Rakanoa left for Newcastle en Saturday. This evening the Northern Company's steamer Clansman leaves for Russell. The steamer Fifeshire is due at. Auckland today from west coast of England ports and Australia. At 5 o'clock this afternoon the Northern Company's steamer Apanui leaves for the North. The Union Company's steamer Manapouri is due at. Auckland on Thursday next from the Eastern Pacific. At- 2 p.m. to-morrow the Northern Company's steamer Waiotahi loaves for Bay of Plenty ports. The auxiliary schooner Kereru, which arrived from East Coast ports on Saturday, brought the following cargo 600 sacks maize. 10 bales tow, 15 bales wool, 35 bales flax, 110 cases bottles, 3 crates fowls, JO pigs, and 20 packages sundries. The United States Navy Department has decided to ask permission of the Cunard Steamship Company to place two naval engineer otllcers on board the Lusitania for a few weeks lor the purpose of gathering information relative to the working of turbine machinery, which cannot be obtained in official reports. Transhipments per Yille dc la Clotat, Barwon, Arunac, Empire, Trinz Waldemar, Thumigen, Colac, Wakatipti, Mioweva, Lacis?., Gracchus, India, and Ottenfjn arrived from Sydney last night by the Victoria.

THE ZEALAND!A. . The Huddart-Paiker steamer Zealundia, Captain F. G. Entwisle, arrived from Southern and East Coast ports at 10.30 a.m. yesterday and berthed at Quay-street; Jetty No. 2. The stc.imer loft Dunediu on Tuesday last and called at the usual coast ports, arriving as above. Light variable winds and fin© weather prevailed to Gisborne, thence light westerly winds until making port. The Zealand in leaves for Sydney at 10 o'clock this morning.

THE SUEVIC. January 14 has been appointed for the departure from Liverpool of the White Star liner Suevic. which is now being iitted with n new fore end in place of that which she left oil the Lizard Reef. The fore end was towed from Belfast- to Southampton by the Liverpool tugs Blazer and Powerful. In the Atlantic swell the vessel"— if such she may be called— rolled alarmingly, and every piece of crockery on board was (smashed to atoms. At one time grave fears were entertained for her safety, but fortunately the " tow" was completed without serious mishap.

TUB VICTORIA. The lluddart-l'arker steamer Victoria, Captain W. Waller, arrived from Sydney last night, and, being granted pratique, berthed at the llobsonstreet Wharf. The steamer left. Sydney at 6.55 p.m. on Wednesday last and rounded the North Cape at 7 JO a.m. yesterday, making port at 8-30 p.m. Fine weather, smooth seas, and light northerly winds prevailed during the passage. The Victoria leaves for East Coast and Southern ports to-morrow afternoon.
