VLADIVOSTOK MUTINY.
DEATH AND PENAL SERVITUDE. By Telegraph.— Association.—Copyright. St. Petersburg, December 3. Twenty sappers at Vladivostok have been sentenced to be shot for participation in the October mutiny, and other military prisoners have been sentenced to various terms of penal servitude. On October 30, the sappers aboard the destroyer Skory, incited by agitators, broke into mutiny, took ]>ossession of the war vessel, and, steaming up the bay at Vladivostok, opened "fire on" the town and the troops ashore. The authorities acted promptly, and a gunboat and three destroyers replied to the Skory's fire, and the Twelfth Artillery Regiment also turned their heavy guaa on her. The mutinous vessel was riddled with shells, and had to be beached to prevent her sinking. The agitators who promoted .the mutiny had bean killed in the fighting, and the mutineers were all placed under arrest.
