A BANKRUPTS DISCHARGE.

WiXLiNOTox, Monday. In the Bankruptcy Court to-day St. George, Edward Dowsing applied for his' discharge. Bankrupt, -who is employed in the Land and Income Tax Department, admitted that he had filed in order to escape the payment of costs granted in an undefended 'case brought against him by a creditor for slander. Bankrupt considered that he, not the creditor, was the injured party.
His Honor said he could not grant am unconditional discharge, and ordered bankrupt to pay £25 within 12 months, payment to be made in quarterly instalments,
