MR. KIDSTON'S POSITION.

Brisbane, November 21. In the Queensland Legislative Assembly last evening Mr. Kidston, in the course-of his attack /on the Government, said that his (the Kidsiton) Government had got into trouble simply owing to his (Mr. Kidston's) consideration for the Governor, which prevented doing what the Hon. John Ballahce aid in New Zealand, viz., ignoring the Governor, and going direct to the Imperial authorities. He declared that Mr. Philp was the only Premier Queensland had had who would hold office because the Governor held a, shield over him.

Mr. Philp announced that when the House again met he would move for Supply, and when that vote had been- taken he would tell the House "what he intended to do. It is believed that Mr. Philp will meet the House to-morrow to give the Opposition a chance of withdrawing their refusal to graut supply. Failing this, Parliament will probably be forthwith prorogued preliminary to the dissolution.

It is rumoured, on the strength of Mr. Kidston's hint at further measures to fight the matter, that a- memorial has been sent to the Secretary of State for the Colonies, seeking intervention to prevent dissolution.
