OTAGO METHODIST SYNOD.
[BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Balcltjtha, Thursday. The Methodist Synod met this morning in pastoral session. The Revs. A. Mcßean and W. H. Papakura' were recommended for ordination. The Revs. A. C. Randerson, M,A„ and R. A. Wylie passed in their years. Mr. J. Winnata was recommended for a year's training in the Three Kings College, with a view to his becoming a candidate for the native ministry. With the signing of the journal the Synod was brought to a close.
The yield of gold in Victoria, for October, amounted to 60,8130z fine, a decrease of 48150z, as compared with the return for October last year. The yield for the last 10 months eliows a decrease of 74,80602.
