V Hinius, a wandering wheelman, who lias gained some notoriety in connection with his recent oceun-10-occaii ride from the coast ot West Australia, to Sydney, started from hero to-day on another long journey across and around Austral.
Hirtles has had his bicycle sprveially made. for him. The bicyclo itself weighs from 281b to 291b, fitted with three-speed gear (61, 81, and 106' are tile variations); and with the camera, gun, portable tent, etc., the whole outfit weighs 7511). He will tour from Brisbane, through Townsvillo to Port Darwin; tlieneo from Fort , Darwin to Adelaide along the Transcontinental telegraph line, ami from Adelaide to Melbourne, and Melbourne to Sydney, on the well-known roads. It is possible that ho may attempt the Port Darwin-Adelaide record, if --the conditions are favourable. '
