The underwriters have received ft cable message announcing that the German tralian steamer Plauen, bound from Sydney to Antwerp, has been towed into Vigo in a sinking condition, having been in collision The Plauen is a steel steamer of 4187 tons register. She left Brisbane on June 26, Sydney on July 6, Albany on July 15, and Fremantle on July 19, bound to Antwerp and Hamburg with a large cargo of wool, ore, bar lead, copra, cocoa, etc.
