ST. JOHN AMBULANCE ASSOCIATION.
The ladies to whom Dr. McDougall gave the lectures on first aid at the Leys Institute were examined by Dr. E. Baker, and all were successful. Mrs. Hunter passed in first aid. Mrs. Colson and Misses K. Johns. S. McGavin, E. Down-. ard, M. Von, M. Stubbs, and A. Davis passed in first aid in the first-class; and Miss P. Miller passed the medallion examination in the first-class. Dr. Eleanor Baker had arranged to give the first lecture on home nursing at the office of the centre last evening. As a number of ladies were present ,~while others were unable to attend on account of the rough weather, the doctor gave practical instruction in bandaging and decided to defer the first lecture till next Wednesday evening. On ijhe same evening, Dr. MeDougall will give the first lecture at the leys Institute, I'onsonby.
