London, August 22. The Earl of Granard has succeeded the Earl of Sefton as Master of tne Horse.

The Karl of Granard, who is 53 years of age, served with distinction in the South African war. and for a time acted as aide-de-camp to tho Lord Lieutenant of Ireland. Tim Karl of Sefton, . who is a few years older, had been Master of the Horse since 1905.
