SOUTHERN SUPREME COURTS
NEW PLYMOUTH.

New Plymouth, Monday. The, Supreme Court (Mr. Justice Button presiding) opened to-day. The whole of the sitting was occupied with a re-trial of Fred Fotenella of alleged theft from the Coronation Hotel, Elthain, where he was employed as porter. The evidence given was similar to the previous trial, and the Court adjourned at 8.50 p.m. till Tuesday morning, accused being liberated on £200 bail. NAPIER, NAriER, Monday. At the Supreme Court to-day a Civil action, Sowman v. Dinwiddie, Walker and Co., Limited, for alleged libel in connection with the last Hastings Poultry Show, was withdrawn after evidence had been taken, each party to pay their own costs.
| An application by J. J. Patterson for a 'dissolution of partnership between himself and J. J. Blackburn and J. E. Blackburn was granted.
