The fattening qualities of Kairanga land were well demonstrated, in the carcase of a bullock, on view at Palmerston North last week. The animal, a shorthorn bullock, weighed 13|cwt, and the carcase was in all respects an ideal one for shop purposes. Mr. Stead, who has been in America on behalf of his peace crusade, recently spoke at the New York Conference of the Methodist Church.
