A. Fisher, of New College, Oxford, advised that the colonial universities should study modern European history.'„ He believed the j Australian and Canadian newspapers I revealed a great ignorance of the condition of European politics. Tho ]colonial universities would be able to correct such ignorance, ' The Government notified a decision to arrange for an official education conference in 1911 as the first of a regular 'series.
