The Government has assigned i.the duty of inquiring into the proposals of the colonial Premiers for an " allI red mail route" - from England to Australasia, via Canada, to the' President of the Board of Trade (Mr. Lloyd George), the PostmasterGeneral (Mr. Sydney Buxton), the ! Under-Secretary for the Colonies (Mr. Churchill), and the Financial Secretary to the Treasury (Mr. Runciman). They will hear experts on the subject, and consider other evidence. They are expected to come to a decision in regard to the matter during the present month. *
