DOG V. PONY.
Ax exciting story was told in the Brom lev (Kent) Police Court, when the fierce fight between a bull-dog and a pony was described. Mr. George Mallison, the owner of the dog, was summoned for £3 in respect of damages done to the pony, Mr. Henry Tewson, of Orpington, was riding a pony at Kestou when the dog flew at the pony's neck. It then b't it- . hi the legs, anil, although Mr. Tewson lashed with his whip, would not desistSeveral times the pony caught the dog with its hoofs, but the dog returned to ton attack, and only gave up when exhausted" Mr. Mallison suggested that it was-'W" possible for his dog to have attacked the pony ; ft must have been the othei way about. But the magistrates tame to the conclusion that the dog was at fault, and ordered Mr. Mallison "tc pay th: amount claimed, and costs.
