: Sydney, May 30. The Full Court has been occupied for thre® days in hearing the case in which Mr. W. P. Crick is called upon to show cause why he should not be struck off the rolls. -Counsel for Mr. Crick argued that the Lands Commission was not in any sense a judicial tribunal. The Chief Justice expressed the opinion that the findings of Mr. Justice Owen, as a Royal Commission, were a judicial decision.. Judgment was reserved. METHODIST CONFERENCE. . (Received May 31. 1.15 a.m.) Syjjxev, May 30.' The Methodist General Conference was opened to-day. The Rev. W. Williams, of Victoria, was elected president. HIDES. Melbourne, May 30. The hides market to-day was steady. Prices for good-conditioned lots tended in 1 Kellers' favour. EARTH TREMOR AND RUMBLING. (Received May 30,11.20 p.m.) s , , Adelaide, May 30. A severe earth tremor was felt at Narraeoorle, South Australia, this morning, accompanied by loud rumblings. The vibration was short, but the noise continued for several seconds. REPATRIATED AUSTRALIANS. Melbourne, May 30. The steamer Atlantic has arrived here with 400 Australians who had been stranded in South Africa, and have been assisted by the Federal and State Governments to return.
