By Telegraph.—Press Association.—Copyright. ' London, May 29. The Ecclesiastical Commissioners have decided to devote £250,000 ayear to pensions to poor clergymen.

The chief /unction of the Commissioners is to make increased provision out of their common fund (arising from a- readjustment [of cathedral and episcopal revenues) for it-he clergy in necessitous parishes. The annual revenue is about £1,570,000/ of | which £770,000 is used in annual payments to 6000 benefices.
