A SETTLER'S DEATH.

GrsBORN'E, Thursday. ; News of a fatality at Waerengaaokuri was received in town this afternoon. Mr! Patrick Walsh, who came to this district from Nuhaka some nine months ago, took up a property known as the Mb del Farm. He was an elderly man, between 50 ail€ 60 years of age, and was living alone. He paid a visit to Waerengaaokuri about three weeks since, and was last seen alive 10 days ago by a Mr. Marshall, who was then employed by Mr. McCabe, of the Waerengaaokuri .Hotel, and who went to the farm to get some fruit. Some things belonging to Mr. Walsh were left at Mr. McCabe's by the coach, and as he did not call for Ins mail Mr. McCabe sent Mtessrs. j C. Davies and G. Stringer over to see if anything was wrong. They found Mr. Walsh dead, and from his condition he had apparently died some days previously. • It is understood that deceased was under medical treatment, and had been told that he could not live long, owing to heart trouble.
