ELINGAMITE TREASURE.
•'A 1 further portion reCOVERED. The auxiliary schooner Huia, which has been attempting to secure the further balance of the treasure from the wreck of the Elingamito, off the Three Kings, during the past few weeks, has been much retarded in the work owing to the bad weather prevailing. Mr. Leigh, the diver of the expedition, made one descent, and it is stated that he secured a further small portion of the trea-1 sure. The weather, becoming very bad,] the schooner went into Mangonui to replenish her stores, and left on Wednesday for 1 the Three Kings again, to make a further effort to secure the balance.. The schooner passed Cape Maria Van Diemen yesterday afternoon, and should reach the Kings this morning.
Mr. Leigh is very sanguine that if the weather is at all favourable he will be able to secure the balance of the treasure on this occasion.
