In the House of Commons yesterday, with the assistance of the closure, the clause in the Army Bill providing for the establishing of county associations for the purpose of assisting in the reorganisation and administration of the military forces other than regulars was carried. An amendment providing for th* retention of the existing system of militia was rejected by 260 to SO. An amendment excluding the yeo- , manry from the control of the ; county associations was also negatived.
