.: ; Cambridge, Tuesday. The third week of the Cambridge Egg-lay-ing competition concluded on Friday. : Tihe highest layings for the week were:—F. C. Hand (white Leghorns), 27; *•• Woodhouse and Marriner (silver Wyandotte.'! ,24 K. W. Fairclough (black Orpingtons), 23; K. W. Fairclough (white Orpingtons), ; 22; H. Leger (white Leghorns),; 16; E. J. Williams (white Leghorns), 16; D. Stubbing (white Leghorns), 15; W. Ferguson (silver Wyandottes), 15; Mrs. Bostock (brown Leghorns), 15; A G. Schunke (white Leghorns), 15. ' The leading pens to date are : — W. Fairclough (black Orpingtons), >s ; F. C. Hand (white Leghorns), 81 K. W. Fairclough (white Orpingtons), 62; W. Ferguson (silver Wyandottes), 56; Woodhouse and Marriner (silver Wyandottes), 54. .-""v-. , ■ The total number of eggs laid during the week was 53 an advance of 165 over the previous week's layings, and the total number of eggs laid since May 1 is 1319. Eleven pens scored their first layings during the week, but several pens have gone into a false moult.
