AUCKLAND CHESS CLUB.
The winter session of the Auckland : Chess Club was. inaugurated at the club rooms, His Majesty's Arcade, on Saturday evening, when a match was played between teams chosen by the president (Mr. J. A. Sneddon) and the vice-president (Mr. Alfred Hosking). The contest resulted in a tie. The points scored by the various players were as follows:— ;- "■'• : ;
