The electric light seems to be popular in New Plymouth. At the last meeting of the Borough Council it was stated that all the power now generated had been sold, and the lighting committee' asked for the; use of a traction engine to drive another: dynamo at night for the winter months. The works committee recommended their brethren to get an oil or gas engine. j
