COMPULSORY 'ARBITRATION ADVOCATED. By Telegraph.— Association.— (Received May 27, 10.49 p.m.) i Pretoria, May 27. i A mass meeting, attended by 5000 people, was held at Johannesburg yesterday, in connection with the strike, and resolutions were passed expressing sympathy with the men, I and urging the passing of a Compul-; sory Arbitration Act. Mr. R. L. Outhwaite, member of the executive of the Transvaal National Association, said the miners would bring the financiers to their knees, and compel them to plead for arbitration. .
