A tragic incident has just taken place in the fortress of Peter and Paul, in Russia. A young girl, by name Dorofeyeva, only 22 years, of age, who had been arrested on the charge of taking part ,in the Customhouse robbery, in October last, has committed suicide by hanging herself by her own hair. The reason which prompted her to this act is 'not known. There are suspicions of torture such as has happened to other women prisoners in the old State prison, suspicions to which the secret burial of the unfortunate girl gives colour.
