AUCKLAND MINERALS CO.

Samples of ore taken from the Auckland Minerals Company's property at Whangaroa, were on view at Mr. H. Lee's office, Hobson Buildings, on Saturday morning, and were inspected by a number of gentlemen interested in the copper industry. The manager has brought to town about lcwt of ore, which, he states, was taken from a formation about 17ft in width. In addition to the ordinary forms of ore from that district, Mr. McQuillan's samples include a block or two of what is described as bc-rnite slate. Until assays have been made the value of this discovery cannot be estimated.
