; London, May 15. j The Singapore correspondent of the [Times says there is so much dissatisfaction with, ,the management of the Staits Settlements' affairs in London by the Crown Agents that it has been suggested that a strong expert independent of the Colonial Office should investigate the " colony's financial, condition. ..-,'. ' * .
■ The Grown Agents are appointed by the Secretary for the Colonies to manage the commercial and financial business :in London of Crown I Colonies that*, do; not possess an Agent-General. The present Crown Agents are Sir E. E. Blake, Major M. A. Cameron, and Mr. W. H. Mercer.
