When the steamer Waiotahi was entering the harbour last night a young man named John , Maxwell • became suddenly ill, and died before medical assistance could be summoned. A doctor ; subsequently examined the body, and gave the opinion that death was probably caused by a clot of blood finding its way to the brain. The body was taken to Opotiki, where deceased's relatives re-, side, and an inquest will be held there. i
