Tire report of a Royal Commisiiion ob wages says that in the millinery, tailoring, and clothing trades there: is mach ''■ to condemn ; and the hours of waitresses 'are too long for the remuneration paid. In certain trades there is a practice of demanding premiums, and too many apprentices are employed in proportion to the number of journeymen.
