A MARINER'S DEATH.

[BY TELEGRAPH.OWN CORRESPONDENT.]

Waihi, Tuesday. This morning Sergeant McKinnon, of the local police office, received a telegram from District-Constable Dunn, of Katikati, to the effect, that Captain Swanson,' of the scow Waikonini, had been found dead in his bunk. There is said to be no reason to suppose other than that death was due to natural causes. The body has been removed from the scow to the Talisman Hotel, where an inquest will be held to-morrow.''
