CHARITABLE AID ADMINISTRATION.

[BY TELEGRAPH.— PRESS ASSOCIATION".]

Dckedik, Thursday. At a mooting of the Charitable Aid Hoard to-day there was a long discussion on the distribution of charity funds, it being argued by some that the present district, embracing a great portion of Otago, is much too large" to allow fair treatment to be meted out to country contributors, as compared with the city. The distribution here is under the control of two bodies, the Charitable Aid Board and the Benevolent Trustees, immediate distribution being made by the latter. Dr. Bachelor thought it was largely in consequence of tliis that dissatisfaction had arisen. He thought the Board should meet the trustees and come to some understanding with them. This was agreed to, and a conference of the two bodies will be held in about a fortnight.
