LABOUR AND SOCIALISM.

QUEENSLAND PARTY'S

PROGRAMME

By Telegraph.— Association.—Copyright.

(Received April 17, 12.18 a.m.)

Brisbane, April 16. THE Labour party has issued a manifesto, in which it lays down as the ultimate aim of the party the securing of the full result of their industry to the wealth producers. The only radical cure of the unemployed question, it adds, is the abolition of the system of production for profit. It advocates Suite settlements, where work may be obtained as a right.

The party is opposed to .State-aided immigration until the surplus labour of Australia is absorbed. It advocates a progressive land tax, with an exemption of £300, old age pensions, nationalisation of mines, a State bank, the protection of trade union fund.*.
