ALLEGED GOLD STEALING CASE.
A SECOND ARREST.

Dcxkdin", Monday. In* connection with the gold alleged to have been stolen from the No. 1 Otago dredge, Cliovv* Kee was arrested at Alexandra yesterday. To-day ho was brought before Mr. Burgess, S.M.. and charged with having, 011 or about March 10, received 20oz of gold from Edward Reiderer, he (Chow Kee) knowing the said gold to be dishonestly obtained. Constable Quinn asked for a remand until the 23rd inst., and opposed tin; granting of bail. Accused was remanded, but bail was allowed. His Worship fixing it at two sureties for £50, and one for £100. The bail was forthcoming.
Edward Reiderer, working dredge-master of the Otago No. 1 dredge at Miller's Flat, who was arrested on Saturday on a charge of stealing 20oz of gold, was brought before the Court at- Roxburgh this morning, and remanded to appear at Alexandra on the 23rd inst.
