The Government schooner Countess of Ranfurly will be floated into the Auckland Hock to-day for general overhaul. The schooner leaves for the Cook Islands and Nine in about a fortnight. THE KERERU. The auxiliary schooner Kereru. Captain K. Brinck, arrived from Gisborne and way ports on Saturday and berthed at Queen-street wharf. The schooner, which left Oisborne at midnight on Wednesday last, experienced fine weather throughout the passage. Her cargo consists of 200 sacks manure and 200 sacks bonedust. THE MAMARI. The Shaw, Savill. ami Albion Company's steamer Mamari lias left London for Auckland direct. THE MOKOIA. The Union Company's steamer Mokoia, Captain R. E. Smith, rived from Southern and East Coast ports at 10 a.m. yesterday and berthed at Quay-street Jetty No. 2. Th« steamer left Dunedin on Tuesday afternoon last, and called at the usual way pons, leaving Uisborne at noon on Saturday " and arriving as above. Experienced light variable winds and smooth seas to the East Cape, which was rounded at 5 p.m. on Saturday, thence fresh north-east winds and moderate head seas to arrival. The Mokoia leaves tor Sydney at 5.30 p.m. to-day. THE LARGO LAW. The steamer Largo Law, built on the Tyne to the order of Messrs. Law, Leslie, and Co., of London, has had her official trial. This vessel, which ! lias been built, to the highest, class at Lloyd's, is of the three-deck type, with two decks and complete shelter deck laid. The propelling machinery, which has been constructed by the NorthEastern Marine Engineering Company, Limited, at. their Northumberland Engine Works, Wallsend-on-Tyne, consists of a set of their latest type of triple-expansion engines, having cylinders 26in, 42in, and 72in by 48in stroke, steam being supplied by three large steel hollers fitted with forced draught. On the" trial run on* Whitley the machinery worked without a hitch, and a mean speed of over 12 knots was attained, which gave great satisfaction to all present. THE MIOWEKA. The Union Company's steamer Miowera, Captain W. J. Newton, arrived from Sydney at 6.30 p.m. yesterday, and, lieing granted pratique, berthed at the liobson-street Wharf. Mr. ( atlin. the purser, reports that the steamer left Sydney at 2 p in. on Wednesday last, passed the North Cape at 3.45 a.m. yesterday, making port as above. Experienced light to fresh easterly winds until Saturday morning, thence strong easterly winds, freshening to a gale, with heavy head seas to arrival. The Miowera leaves for East Coast and Southern ports to-morrow afternoon. THE SELWYN CRAIG, The barquentine Selwyn Craig. Captain D. J. Stuart, arrived from Melbourne at 1.3D a.m. yesterday, bringing a mil cargo of general merchandise. The master reports sailing from Melbourne on March 30, and experienced fresh to moderate south-west, south and east winds until making Cape Maria Van Diem«n at 4 p.m. on Friday last, thence east and south-east winds to Capo Brett, followed by fresh east-north-east winds to arrival.
