MORE FIREMEN PROVIDED,

[BY TELEGRAPH. — PRESS ASSOCIATION'.]

Wellington, Saturday,

Tho Times publishes an article, this morning in which it is asserted that three incipient fires have occurred at the Exhibition during the past week, and that some. of the insurance companies are considering the question of cancelling risks if any further fires occur. It is considered that, fire risks during the closing days of the Exhibition are very great, as, apart from inadequacy of fire appliances, a tire would suit many insured exhibitors very much better than the trouble of removing their exhibits. A recent visit of insurance representatives to test the lire alarms, etc., proved most disquieting. In consequence of the uneasy feeling among the insurance companies as to risks of fire at the Exhibition, the Government is moving in the matter of providing more firemen.
