AUCKLAND TRAINING COLLEGE.
GRANT OF £8000.
A communication was received yesterday bv the Board of Education honi the Education Department, stating that plans had been approved of the Auckland Training College, and a grant of £8000 had been authorised.
The Chairman (Mr. 1.. J. Bagnall) said the Department had met. the Board very fairly. Mi 1 . H. .1. Greenslade, M.fl.R. : Liberally. I think. The Chairman: Yes; very liberally. In reply to Mr. ,1. I). McKenzie, the secretary said the Board's plans had been approved with one or Iwo minor alterations.
On the motion of the chairman the architect was instructed to call for tenders, and proceed with the work, oil the distinct understanding that the cost was not to exceed £8000 {
