Christ church, Friday, A sensational incident occurred here late to-night. A man named Smithers, living in Durham-street, went to where a woman named Jackson was living and cut her throat with a razor. He afterwards gashed his own throat with the razor. Jealousy is understood to be the cause of the outrage.
The woman was removed to the hospital, and at midnight her condition was jo serious that it was decided to take her dying depositions.
The man was not so seriously injured, for lie broke the razor in the attack on the woman, and did not cut his throat to the extent he would have otherwise done.
