Logan, at the meeting of the Devonport Borough Council to-morrow night: — " Tha.t tin* Council accept the Harbour Hoard's otter to lake over the supply of water to shipping at 2s 3d per 1000 gal.ons for shipping, and Is 6d for all water used for dock purposes, the Harbour Board to allow them £100 as a minimum for water taken from ferry wharves, and in the event of the Council deciding to run their own ferry service they to have full control of their water for such service." During last year 629 vessels from abroad entered the ports of Neiv Zealand, being two more than the number of the previous year.
