FOKTY-KTOHT DKSIGXS 'FA VKI). The City Council has received 48 designs for the new Town Hall. The Council has resolved to- accept any designs forwarded from Australia which were, despatched prior to the closing' of the competition. Several of them arrived by the Sydney boat on the 17th inst. They came in cases and as cargo, consequently they were not delivered with the'celerity of mail matter. None of them hare been opened, consequently the Council is at present ignorant of the identity of the competitors.
